چکیده

How to accurately detect the anti-slide pile and surrounding rock hole is key correct application of concrete quality treatment method, at same time, it can ensure control effect a certain extent, make project more economical effective. The presence water in reinforced layer, coupled with void shape, irregular nature hole, may be filled air, mud, soil other media factors, so there considerable complexity. number abnormal bodies contrast enhancement diagram increases significantly, which helpful for us observe loose area pile. We find pixel value corresponding feature by detecting data one one.

Compact Underground Radar System

Pulse radar systems, known as subsurface interface radars, have been widely used to locate underground objects. Three-dimensional towershaped antennas were developed to replace conventional plane antennas and accurately detect the location and depth of underground objects like gas pipes, water pipes and transmission cables. The newly developed radar system using these tower-shaped antennas is c...

Geologic Exploration and Risk Reduction in Underground Construction

Geologic uncertainty in underground construction promotes design and construction conservatism and has a significant effect on project cost. Site investigation can reduce this uncertainty and decrease costs by reducing the contingency amounts included in bids. This paper presents research findings that provide a better understanding of how subsurface exploration and improved contractual risk sh...

Geologic Studies of Mercury by the U.S. Geological Survey

Mercury emissions from coal-fired electric generating utilities are a major uncontrolled source of mercury in the environment. This mercury may be contributing to serious health problems in segments of our society. The USGS is compiling information on mercury in coal that may be useful in developing strategies for reducing mercury emissions from coal use. The USGS coal-quality database contains...

Karst groundwater management by defining protection zones based on regional geological structures and groundwater flow fields

Karst regions, occupy approximately 25% of the land surface of the earth. Karst aquifers are often major sources of water supply in these areas. However, karst aquifers are generally considered to be particularly vulnerable to pollution and anthropogenic impacts. Large withdrawals of water in karst areas for municipal, agricultural, and industrial use may competitively affect water supply in su...

Radar penetrates only the youngest geological units on Mars

[1] Signals from the Shallow Radar were intended to penetrate hundreds of meters or more into Mars, but subsurface reflections are abundant only in known or inferred ice‐rich units and young (middle to late Amazonian), apparently pristine, volcanic units. As volcanic units age, fewer subsurface reflections are detected. Also, no subsurface reflections are detected from any northern hemisphere u...
